Applications are invited to attend Online Interview in five different DBT and SERB funded projects at Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12, as mentioned below. The posts are purely on contractual basis. Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the concerned PI’s e-mail addresses as given below latest by June 21, 2020. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed about the details of online interview (Date and Time) by email. Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected. 

1. Name of Projects: DBT funded project entitled “Mainstreaming rice landraces diversity in varietal development through genomic predictions: A model for large-scale utilization of gene bank collections of rice” Name of PI: Dr. Gopala Krishnan S Email ID: gopal_icar@yahoo.co.in 

Research Associate (RA) One 

Rs. 47,000 + 24%HRA 

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences OR having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.Tech (Life Sciences)/ with at least One research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal. (As per DST Office Memorandum No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018, Dated:30-01-2019) 

Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling rice crop. 

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Four 

Rs.31000/- + 24% HRA 

Post graduate degree in basic science (Life Sciences) or graduate/ post graduate degree in professional courses (Life Sciences including Agricultural Sciences) selected through a process described through any one of the following: 
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. 
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE. DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc, IISER etc. (As per DST Office Memorandum No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018, Dated:30-01-2019) 

Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling rice crop. 

Young Professionals (YP) (Six for ICARIARI and One for DBT) Seven 

(Rs. 25000/- consolidated/ month) 

Post graduate degree in basic science (Life Sciences or graduate/ post graduate degree in professional courses (Life Sciences including Agricultural Sciences) 

Desirable: Experience in molecular markers, field phenotyping and handling rice crop.

Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Botany/ Biotechnology/ Plant Science / Life Sciences) OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology / Plant Physiology / Bioinformatics / Plant Biochemistry) selected through a process described through any one of the following: 

a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. 
 b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE. DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc, IISER etc. 

Desirable: Experience in chickpea, molecular markers, association mapping, bioinformatics, nodulation & nitrogen fixation, proficiency in computer skills
