The School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the post of a Junior Research Fellow in Reversal of Bacterial Antibiotic Resistance.

Amrita School of Biotechnology has openings for M.Sc. graduates to be recruited to work on a research project to address the reversal of bacterial antibiotic resistance. This includes research on the causes and mechanisms of multi-drug resistance (preferably with Pseudomonas aeruginosa), CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, and genetic engineering of phage vectors.

This candidate will be personally engaged in the areas of mechanisms and reversal of bacterial antibiotic resistance, CRISPR/Cas9 editing in bacterial systems, phage genetic engineering and should have background expertise in microbiology and molecular biology. Candidates may be from a basic research or clinical background.
