Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the post of JRF (1 post) in the DST-SERB
Project under the principal investigatorship of Dr. SUNOJ KUMAR P., Assistant Professor,
Department of Botany, University of Calicut.
Project Title : “Taxonomic revision, chemotaxonomy using fatty acid profiles and molecular
phylogeny of the aromatic family Lamiaceae (subfamily Nepetioideae) in India
with special reference to the biogeographic origin and relationship of the Indian
endemic radiations of the genus Isodon)”
Funding Agency : SERB- DST, New Delhi
Fellowship : Rs.31,000/PM + 10% HRA for 1
st and 2
nd year & Rs.35,000/PM + 10%HRA for
3
rd year on satisfactory completion of first 2 years.
Essential Qualifications:
(1) First Class M.Sc. in Botany/ Plant Science
(2) NET/ JRF
Desirable qualification: Preference will be given to those who have research experience in Plant
Taxonomy and marker based Phylogenetic analysis.
Communal reservation will be followed in accordance with the provision of KS&SSR and Kerala Public
Service Commission Manual.
The post is purely on temporary basis.
The project Fellow should do work full time in the project and get the fellowship from one source only.
No TA/DA will be paid to attend the test/ interview.
Selection procedure will consist of test and
interview.
