Focus Area Science Technology-Summer Fellowship
(FAST-SF) – 2021
With a view to enhance the spread of Science and Technology in the specific regions of the country,
the Inter Academy Panel has initiated the Focus Area Science Technology-Summer Fellowship (or
FAST-SF). The FAST-SF programme will be for students and teachers working in the states of North
Eastern States of India, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh.
About 200 fellowships are offered every year to students and teachers working in these states to work
with scientists associated with the three Academies (INSA, NASI and IASc) anywhere in the country.
Applications should be submitted online through our websites: www.ias.ac.in; www.insaindia.res.in;
www.nasi.org.in during September–November.
The last date for receipt of applications online is 30 November 2020.
Information of selection along with concurrence of the guide will be despatched around February–
March 2021. The selected students/teachers will be provided appropriate round trip train fare and
monthly fellowship to meet their living expenses at the place of work. For current year the fellowship
amounts are: Rs 12,500 per month for students; Rs 18,750 per month for teachers.
