IISER-K Molecular Biology Technician Job Openings 2020 September


Applications are invited for the posts of two Molecular Biology Technicians contractual position for a “Systems Medicine: Acceleration using a Cluster Approach” (SyMec) research project in the multidisciplinary translational research field undertaken in the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata.

Position: Molecular Biology Technician

Minimum Eligibility: M.Sc in any branch of Biological Sciences from a recognized University/Institute.

 

Desirable Qualifications: 1-2 years of prior research experience of working in a cell and molecular biology lab with training to work in animal cell culture and basic cell biology techniques such as protein/RNA extraction, western blotting, immunostaining and microscopy is required. Prior experience in small animal handling is desirable. People with experiences in the field of drug delivery, cancer biology, virology or combination of all the three will be given preference. Basic knowledge of using computers for record keeping and data analysis is required.


Salary: 18,000/- per month (consolidated)

Tenure of the post will initially be for one year but likely to be extendable for two more years subject to performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
