Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research
Follow (JRF) in the BRNS-DAE sponsored research project
(54/14/05/2020-BRNS) entitled ‘Radiation induced enhancement of anticancer triterpenoids of Nilgirianthus ciliatus’
for the duration of 3 years tenable at the Department of
Biotechnology, Alagappa University, Karaikudi.
Qualification: First class M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology/
Botany/Plant Science or equivalent from a recognized
University with experience in plant tissue culture.
NET/GATE
qualified candidates will be given preference.
Job description: Selected fellow would be responsible for
micropropagation of Nilgiriathus cliliatus at Alagappa
University and for mutagenesis at BARC, Mumbai.
Emoluments and duration: Rs 31,000 p.m. for first two
years and Rs 35,000 p.m, for the third year. HRA will be paid
as per BRNS/Alagappa University’s norms.
