Applications are invited for the position of one Research Associate in the DST funded project entitled “National Centre for Screening of Natural Products for Parasitic diseases”.
Essential qualification: PhD in any branch of Biological Sciences with at least one first author paper.
Desirable: The candidates must have experience in protein purification techniques, basic molecular/cell biology techniques and animal cell culture. Experience in molecular modeling and optimization of compound series via structure-based drug design is desirable.
Candidates should submit a brief (about 1 page) summary of their research work and a copy of their CV (with names and e. mail contacts of two referees) along with the application.
Salary: INR 47000/- p.m.

(A) Research Associate (01)
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant subject and minimum one publication in SCI journal.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in techniques on molecular/cell biology related to RNA Biology, protein/protein interactions, proteomics, mammalian gene expression, Cloning, genome and protein informatics, systems and synthetic biology.
Salary: Rs. 49,000/-per month + 24% HRA
(B) Project Assistant (01)
Essential Qualification: Candidate must have Graduation Degree in Science.
Desirable Qualification: Candidate with Post Graduation in Science. Candidate with a recorded work experience in biological laboratory. Preparation of various reagents and maintenance of project records.
Salary: Rs. 22,000/- per month (consolidated)

Applications are invited for the following purely temporary post in the SERB funded project entitled “Investigating gene regulatory networks operating downstream of OsAP2/ERF-40 during rice adventitious root development” at School of Computational & Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Junior Research Fellow (one post): M.Sc. degree or equivalent (with minimum of 55% marks) in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology or other related field with NET/GATE qualification. Good computer skills (Linux, Perl, Java, Python, MySQL etc.), along with proven experience in NGS data analysis and/or bioinformatics is highly desirable.
The fellowship will be as per sanction in the project and/or as per SERB rules. The initial appointment may be for six months or as per recommendation of the selection committee, which can be extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on the qualification/experience depending on the total number of applications received. JNU may select candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.
