NIPGR Proteomics/Metabolomics SRF Vacancies

Candidates are invited to appear in online interview before a selection committee for filling up the purely temporary positions of two Senior Research Fellows (SRF) in the following projects under the supervision of Dr. Subhra Chakraborty, Director, NIPGR. The details of the positions are as under:

1. DBT project entitled “Nitric oxide signaling in response to Botrytis cinerea infection tomato fruits”,

Senior Research Fellow (one Post): (Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms & as sanctioned in the project)

Eligibility: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019, and having M.Sc. degree (with minimum 55% marks) from recognized university in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics or related field with minimum two years post-M.Sc. research experience are eligible to apply. 

Candidates having prior experience in the area of gene cloning and characterization, protein-interaction, multiomics and system biology will be given preference.

2. DBT multi- institutional project entitled “Development of integrated multi-omics analysis platform, and its application to elucidate the differential process of skill colouration in the Muga silkworm Antheria assamensis Heifer”,

Senior Research Fellow (one Post): (Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms & as sanctioned in the project)

Eligibility: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019, and having M.Sc. degree (with minimum 55% marks) from recognized university in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics or related field with minimum two years post-M.Sc. research experience are eligible to apply. 

Candidates having prior experience in the area of LC-MS/MS, proteomics, metabolomics, protein-interaction, multiomics and system biology will be given preference.

The above positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument amount for the above positions are as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
