Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research
Fellow (JRF) (ONE number) in the sanctioned project funded by Science and Engineering
Board (SERB CRG), Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi to the
Department of Plant Biotechnology, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University,
Madurai - 625 021. The position will be terminated after the completion of the project.
Title of the Project : “Insights into the mechanisms of Fe and Cd accumulation in rice:
Prospecting towards Fe-enriched Cd – free rice”
Emoluments : Rs. 31,000 + HRA (As per the DST norms)
Period : For the DST SERB-CRG
Project period
Qualification : M.Sc./M.Tech First Class in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life
(Essential) Sciences, Plant Sciences, Genomic Sciences, Biochemistry,
Agriculture.
Qualification : CSIR/UGC/DBT or Equivalent National Eligibility Test qualification
(Desirable) is desirable.
Experience in recombinant DNA methods, Plant tissue
culture is essential.
