Applications are invited for the position of Research assistant in the ICMR sponsored research project
entitled “Structure based discovery of novel chemical chaperone compounds targeting αsynuclein aggregations for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease” sanctioned to the undersigned.
Essential Qualifications: The Candidate must have passed the M.Sc. with a minimum of 55% marks in
Biophysics/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Allied fields OR M.Pharm in
Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmachemistry.
Note: Candidate who have cleared GATE/NET-JRF/lectureship (UGC-CSIR joint test)/ICMR/Panjab
University’s Ph.D. entrance test, are encouraged to apply.
Desirable Experience: Prior knowledge of computational studies and neurological studies
Emoluments/Fellowship: The selected candidate will be paid stipend of Rs. 31,000/- pm
Duration: Initial appointment for one year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance. The position is
temporary and co-terminus with the project.

28 years of age for JRF as on the date of the interview (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years
