Applications are invited by post/e-mail for ONE position of Junior Research Fellow
(JRF) under the Indo-UK Joint Collaborative research project entitled “SELECTAR:
Selection for antimicrobial resistance by antimicrobial production waste” sanctioned to
the undersigned by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and
Technology, Government of India. The appointment will be governed by DBT/JMI rules.
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology /Biosciences /Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or allied
disciplines with at least 60% marks for GN/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized
University/Institute. The applicant must have cleared UGC/CSIR-NET / GATE/ DBT-BET
or any other equivalent test recognized by DBT, India.
Desirable: Prior laboratory experience in microbiological techniques, molecular biology and
analytical techniques.
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA for 1st & 2nd year and Rs. 35,000 pm + HRA
for the 3rd year
Job Requirement: To do the experimental work related to the project, compile all results,
maintain the Laboratory notebook and all the scientific records pertaining to the project.
Duration: The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The
appointment will be made for one year which can be further extended up to three years
subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance of the candidate
