Applications are invited for a JRF position at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in an ICMR funded research project on “Biomarker Discovery in seronegative Neuromyelitis optica”

Qualifications for JRF:

1. M.Sc. or M.Tech in any field of Life Sciences

2. Qualification of National or State Eligibility Tests for JRF or lectureship/GATE is desired and advantageous

3. The successful candidate will be encouraged to enrol in Ph.D. program of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) 

Yenepoya Research center (YRC; https://yenepoya.res.in//) is a premier academic research centre,to carry out clinical and translation research using cutting-edge technologies, established by Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, which is among top 100 universities of India. The Center for Systems Biology and Molecular Medicine (CSBMM; http://csbmm.yenepoya.res.in/) a part of Yenepoya Research Center, which is focussed on applications of high-resolution mass spectrometry based proteomics and metabolomics and NGS based genomics to address biomedical research questions. 

Selected JRFs will work in multidisciplinary teams of Dr. Keshava Prasad at Yenepya, Mangalore and Dr. Anita Mahadevan, NIMHANS, Bangalore to work on the ICMR funded collaborative research project. The tenure of project is for three years. The candidate will be extensively trainedin sample prep, high resolution mass spectrometry and data analysis for proteomic and metabolomic experiments, maintenance of HPLC and a number of molecular biology techniquesin context tobiomarker discovery and validation of biomarkers.
