Recruitment of student interns for a period of two months
Three seats of Student Interns are available in the Division of Genetics in SERB-DST funded projects for a
period of two months only. Interested students with essential /desired educational qualifications may kindly send

Essential qualification
1. Student Intern in SERB-DST
Funded project entitled “
Fine mapping of novel leaf
rust resistance gene in T.
militinae derivative “TMD
11-5”.

Essential:
Students pursuing Master’s in Life Sciences/
Agriculture with specialization in Genetics / Plant
Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding /
Biotechnology with 60% marks in 10th, 12th and
graduate level.
Desirable: Experience in molecular markers
and proficiency in computer skills.
2. Student Intern in SERB-DST
Funded project entitled “
“Utilization of chickpea
germplasm to identify
gene(s)/QTL for nodulation
through association
mapping".

Essential:
Students pursuing Master’s in Life Sciences/
Agriculture with specialization in Genetics / Plant
Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding /
Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Agronomy with
60% marks in 10th, 12th and graduate level.
Desirable: Experience in nodulation traits and
molecular markers.
3. Student Intern in SERB-DST
Funded project entitled
“Unravelling the candidate
genomic regions regulating
MYMIV resistance and
extra-earliness traits in
mungbean using RNA-Seq
and Genotyping-bysequencing approaches”.

Students pursuing Master’s in Life Sciences/
Agriculture with specialization in Genetics / Plant
Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding /
Biotechnology /Microbiology/ pathology with
60% marks in 10th, 12th and graduate level.
Desirable: Experience in RNA sequencing and
genotyping by sequencing approaches.
Terms & Conditions
(i) The internships are only for duration of two months and will end after completion of two months from the date of joining.
(ii) The internship is just for two months. No any other claim will be made by the student.
(iii) The interested students are requested to send their duly signed application (on the given format) along with
their certificates/Mark sheets strictly through email only at student.interngen.2021@gmail.com on or before
29th March, 2021. No hard copy will be entertained.
(iv) Shortlisted students will be called for an online interview on 31st March, 2021 (10:00A.M onwards).
(v) Once selected the student has to provide No Objection Certificate from their present institute to be able to attend
the Lab activities for a period of two months.
(vi) The selected student has to make their own arrangements for attending day to day activities at designated Labs at
IARI. No TA, DA will be provided for the same.
(vii) Concealing off facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
