Call for Junior Research Fellows for the
Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence (PURSE) project
Applications are invited from qualified individuals for the position of Junior Research Fellows (Ph.D. Aspirants) to work in the PURSE project sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, under the mentorship/ supervision of Prof. P. Sankar Ganesh, Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory, Department of Biological Sciences, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.
Project Title: Biomethanation of food waste and organic municipal solid waste to generate methane-rich biogas at pilot scale (0.5 TPD) and industrial scale (2 TPD)
Duration: 4 Years
Open Positions: 2 Junior Research Fellows
Fellowship: Own Fellowship. Only students who have qualified JRF (CSIR/ UGC/ DBT/ ICMR etc.) are eligible to apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
(i) ME/ MTech in Environmental Science & Engineering/Biotechnology or
(ii) MSc in Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/ Life Science
Desirable Qualification: Specialization and/ or work experience in solid waste management/ wastewater treatment/ anaerobic treatment.

Note that only shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for a virtual interview in the last week of July 2021. Selected candidates may register for the Ph.D. program offered by BITS Pilani, subject to the fulfillment of the requirements.
