Applications are invited for the following project positions in the BRICS multilateral, DST, Government of India sponsored project “Metagenomic analysis of environmental samples for detection of SARS-CoV- 2 and epidemiological surveillance”; Indian Part of the multilateral project,“Genomic sequencing of SARS-CoV-2 and studies on the epidemiology and mathematical modelling of the COVID-19 pandemic”from qualified candidates. Candidates interested are requested to send their applications in the prescribed proforma to the Project Coordinator to reach on or before 12-07-2021. Applicants meeting the eligibility qualifications will only be interviewed.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1.      Only eligible candidates are required to apply.

2.      The contract is purely temporary and initially only for a period of 6 months but extendable if the work is found satisfactory till the completion of the project.

3.      JRF candidate admitted in the scheme is expected to join the Ph. D programme as per university rules.

4.      Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in the area of metagenomics, genomic data analysis and bioinformatics including programme writing.

5.      Candidates have to fully devote their time for the project work and are not allowed to join any other course or job (part/ full time).

6.      Maximum age limit is 28 years. Exemption applicable as per government of India guidelines.

7.      Candidates who wish to leave the project in between have to inform the PI in writing at least 3 months before or till other personnel is employed in the project, whichever is earlier.

8.      Selection will be made purely as per the DST and University guidelines subject to approval by DST.

9.      No TA/DA will be paid for either attending the interview or while joining the project.

12.  Interview for selected candidates will be tentatively on 14-6-2021 from 1.30 PM both online (Google meet link will be sent to the eligible candidates one day before the interview) and offline at Centre for Environment, III floor, old  IST, (opposite State Bank of India) JNTU Kukatpally Hyderabad.  Selected candidates have to appear before the selection committee with all relevant documents/certificates in original and if selected, should join the project immediately by 15-6-2021.

13.  If any false information is provided by the candidates and is found guilty, necessary action will be taken and the candidate has to refund all the payments made to him/her.
