NIAB Hyderabad Molecular biology/Genomics Project Associate Openings

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up following positions against the DBT funded project entitled “Socio-economic upliftment of landless and marginal farmers of Yadgir district (an aspirational district) of Karnataka through goat rearing” at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad. (Project Co-ordinator: Dr. Subeer S. Majumdar; PI: Dr. Pankaj Suman and Dr. Abhijit Deshmukh) 

Project Associate-II (One post) 

Eligibility: 

a. MSc (Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology)/Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration (MBA) / Veterinary Sciences (MVSc) with NET qualification or, 

b. Non-NET-qualified candidates with post graduate degree in above mentioned disciplines can also apply; who will be paid as per DST guidelines. 

Desired Experience: Candidate having 2 years’ experience of working on socio-economic aspect of rural development and ability to develop nanocarriers for delivery of nutrient will be given preference. 

Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions) 

Fellowship amount: Rs. Rs 35,000 + 24 % HRA as per the DST guidelines. 

Project Associate-I (Three posts) 

Eligibility: 

a. MSc (Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology)/Post Graduate Degree in Veterinary Science (MVSc) with NET qualification or, 

b. Non-NET-qualified candidates with post graduate degree in Life Sciences can also apply; who will be paid as per DST guidelines. 

Desired Experience: Candidate with experience in Molecular biology/Genomics/Genome sequencing/Animal Genetics and breeding/ Nanotechnology and having expertise to work with large animal model will be given preference. 

Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions) 

Fellowship amount: Rs.31000/-PM+24% HRA as per the DST guidelines.
