Applications are invited from eligible and suitable Indian Nationals for “Avishkaran” a BioNEST supported pharma incubation centre at NIPER Hyderabad for the post of Chief Operating Officer (COO), Incubation Manager and Technical Assistant purely on contractual basis. The posts are temporary and co-terminus with the project. Number of posts, essential qualifications and upper Age Limit are mentioned below. The relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit will be granted to SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates. The upper age limit may be relaxed for an additional duration of earlier work experience in a project/scheme. Reservation will be applicable as per GoI norms. No TA/DA will be paid if called for interview.

1. Designation of the Post Chief Operating Officer (one Post) for BioNEST, NIPER Hyderabad 

Salary Rs. 1,00,000/- per month fixed 

Essential - Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a Premier Institute in Pharmaceutical & Life sciences and allied areas/ Engineering (with understanding of pharmaceutical scenario in India) with an M.B.A/ PGDM/ Finance/ Entrepreneurship/ Marketing with first division/Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical/ Life sciences/ Biological sciences. 

Working experience of minimum 3-6 years especially in Pharmaceutical/ Life Sciences Incubation Center/ Industry. Good knowledge in pharmaceutical and life sciences; good understanding of general laboratory practices, working knowledge of instruments and business-related concepts. 

Desirable 

i) Experience in any incubator or start-up or tech transfer. 
ii) Organization of seminars, Training, Workshops, and highlevel meetings.
iii) The incumbent should possess good communication, managerial and leadership skills and possess good drafting and noting skills. Should be conversant with official procedures and capable of writing grant proposal. 
iv) Working knowledge of partnership handling, client management, liaising, new business development, and business development and business initiatives. 

(c) Age limit The candidate must not exceed 45 years on the last date of application. Age may be relaxed for experienced and well qualified candidates. 

Job Description The COO will be entrusted with the following responsibilities: 

i) Manage/Purchase/Procure and commission equipment and research facilities. 
ii) Preparation of inventory of mentors, their expertise and available translatable technologies for startups. 
iii) Organize seminars, hackathons, trainings, workshops and sensitization programs for the Faculty, Students, Start-ups & industry. 
iv) Assist the Coordinator of BioNEST NIPER-Hyderabad in preparing various reports and other works, if any, in connection with the centralized facilities, as directed by Coordinator BioNEST NIPER-Hyderabad. 
v) Implement user charges of the centralized equipment in coordination with the various stakeholders to help BioNEST NIPER-Hyderabad to build a corpus for selfsustenance of the centralized facilities. 
vi) Liaison with the different departments of the University, Industry, Start- ups and other organizations. vii) Attracting and ensuring business for optimal utilization and sustainability of the facility. viii) Fundraising for startup cohorts of the incubator through external investors and setting up deal flows. 

Selection Process Through Interview and Personal Interaction by a duly constituted Selection Committee. 

2. Designation of the Post Incubation Manager 

Salary Rs. 50,000/- per month fixed 

Essential MSc/ME/MS/M Pharm/B Tech with at least 3 years of relevant experience. 

(b) Desirable 

• Experience in Intellectual Property/Regulatory Affairs related aspects of Pharma/Biologics/Medical Devices/Tech transfer/Managing laboratory/ handling instrument/ general administration. 
• Should possess keen interest and drive for promoting technology innovation/ entrepreneurship. 
• Familiarization to sciences/engineering; ability to quickly comprehend inventions/technology and assess them. 
• For bio-incubation activities, academic profile related to pharmacy, life sciences, bioengineering, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, medicine, and related disciplines is preferred. 
• Additionally, work experiences and/or education in business management/ IP management/ project management/law and agreements/ tech transfer/ incubation would be preferred. 
• Scientific writing: Experience in scientific writing/proposal writing etc. would be an added advantage. • Experience in mentoring trainees/students/interns/junior colleagues etc. would also be a plus. 
• The incumbent will be expected to be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and efficiently deliver project targets. 
• Should possess good communication skills and possess Page 4 of 7 good drafting and noting skills. Should be familiar with official procedures and capable of writing grant proposals. 
• The candidates with 2 - 5 years of work experience in Pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology Sectors shall be preferred. 

c) Age limit The candidate must not exceed 40 years on the last date of application. Age may be relaxed for experienced and well qualified candidates.

Job Description Function as an administrative person for the BioNest program of NIPER-Hyderabad. The position will directly report to COO, BioNEST, NIPER-Hyderabad. Contribute to planning and setting up of the lab and office space as part of the BioNest program at NIPER-Hyderabad. Assist the COO to develop the business and enable BioNEST achieve its business objectives and targets. Analyze financial statements, forecasts and funding requirements of potential startups. Assist BioNest in creating scientific support systems and resources for NIPER-Hyderabad incubatees including specific expertise and library. 

Assist in specification, purchase, and installation of instruments/equipment. Contribute to management and operation of labs in coordination with NIPER-Hyderabad Management. Contribute to envisioning and executing technical workshops. Participate in organizing events of use to entrepreneurs, start-ups, budding entrepreneurs etc. Act as a connecting link between entrepreneurs and innovators, understand their needs, match them to various resource persons/ facilities etc. Helping entrepreneurs relating to proposals/ pitches/ business plans and fund raising. Create a pipeline of potential and signed-up incubatees for the Bio- incubator. Define, build and finalize client agreements. Develop and maintain relationships with investors, Government bodies, service companies. Other pursuits to reinforce the bioincubation mentoring activities. Any other duties periodically assigned by COO. Selection Process Through Interview and Personal Interaction by a duly constituted Selection Committee. 3. Designation of the Post Technical Assistant (Incubator) 

Salary Rs. 25,000/- per month fixed 

Essential Science Graduate/Postgraduate with good knowledge of handling Scientific Instruments related to Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences. Familiarization with various IT applications is also essential. with a minimum of 2 years of experience of handling (b) 

Desirable 

i) Professional Science degree such as B.Pharm/B.Tech or equivalent. 
ii) Experience in Pharmaceutical Sciences or allied fields. 

c) Age limit The candidate must not exceed 30 years on the last date of application. Age may be relaxed for experienced and well qualified candidates. 

Job Description The position will directly report to COO, BioNEST, NIPERHyderabad. The specific job responsibilities will include the following: 
i) Provide service support to the technical and scientific staff to ensure that all the specialized technology platforms are always kept in running conditions. 
ii) Troubleshoot the problems/issues for the instruments and minimize their down-time. 
iii) Address the operational issues and priorities on daily-basis 
iv) Coordinate with external stakeholders/engineers on a regular basis to ensure maintenance of the instruments and updation of skills by vendor/external presentations/tranings.
