Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of
Biotechnology at National Institute of Technology, Raipur for a SERB-DST sponsored research project
titled “In situ application of a Microbial Peroxide producing cell for oxidative depolymerisation of lignin
and its subsequent valorisation”.
Principal Investigator: Dr. Pratima Gupta
Broad area of Research: Microbial electrochemical Technology
Duration of the project: 3 years. Initially the appointment for JRF is one year
Emoluments (Rs.): 31,000 + HRA (as per institute norms) per month for firsttwo years and 35,000 +
HRA (as per institute norms) per month for the third year
Last date of Application: 22nd June 2021
Qualification: Candidates must hold a 1st Class M.Tech/M.Sc/MS/ME/ in Biotechnology/Chemical
engineering or equivalent.
Preference will be given to candidates with GATE/NET qualification.
Candidates having good knowledge in Microbial electrochemical systems will be given preference.
