The CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute [CLRI], Chennai has been established in the year 1948 with its headquarters at Chennai and Regional Centres at Ahmedabad, Jalandhar, Kanpur and Kolkata. CSIR-CLRI is one of the Constituent Laboratories of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an Autonomous Body under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. 

CLRI is a Central hub in Indian Leather Sector with direct roles in Education, Research, Training, Testing, Designing, Forecasting, Planning, Social empowerment and leading in Science and Technology relating to Leather. 1. Senior Scientist S21431 1 Post - UR 

Centre for High Computing [Computational Biology] 

37 years 

Ph.D in Chemistry/ Biology/ Bioinformatics with 2 years of experience after Ph.D 1 st Class M.Sc in Biology/ Bioinformatics/ Chemistry (any specialization) / Physics Simulation studies related to Proteins and their interactions with two-dimensional materials. 

Ability to computationally develop new enzymes for leather applications and novel biomaterials

7. Scientist S21425 1 Post - OBC (Backlog) CATERS [Biophysics] 

35 years 

Ph.D submitted in Biophysics/ Physics M.Sc (Physics / Biophysics) 

Understanding of Interface rheology, surface modifications of Leather and Leather like materials. 

Experience in handling of Mechanical Testing Devices. 

To work in the area of tuning of surface properties to improve performance features of footwear and develop guidelines for comfort properties.
