JOB TITLE Scientist I (Andrologist)

3. KEY SKILLS

3.1. Domain Knowledge (Essential)

3.1.1 Experienced in working with the sperm cells and cryopreservation of sperm cells is a must.

3.1.2 Good knowledge of extender for cryopreservation.

3.1.3 Experience and familiar with media preparation and its components to support sperm cells viability and motility in in vitro environment

3.1.4 Expertise in molecular biology techniques like RT PCR, Cloning, Flowcytometry and microscopy.

3.1.5 Prior knowledge of proteomics will be an added advantage.

3.2. Domain Knowledge (Preferred)

3.2.1 In depth knowledge of sperm biology, media of sperm and Cryopreservation.

4. SOFT SKILLS/OTHER

4.1. Innovative thinker, good team player with work presentation skill.

5. EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

5.1. Education

5.1.1. PhD in Veterinary Science, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or related life science discipline or Master degree with over 2 Year of work/research experience in related field only.

6. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

6.1. Roles & Responsibilities

6.1.1. Standardization and development of media for cryopreservation of sperm cells.

6.1.2. Standardization and development of media to maintain viability, motility and fertilization efficiency of sperm cells in vitro.

6.1.3. Perform cloning and RT PCR.

6.1.4. Perform conventional assays for quality checks

6.1.5. Use of Flow Cytometry for cell analysis and sorting.

6.1.6. Able to analyse the data to ensure assay development in line with GLP guidelines.

6.1.7. Clear understanding of the assay development process.

6.1.8. Responsible for recording and documenting detailed observations following good documentation practices
