Project Title: Selective Pharmacological Inhibition of the Transcriptional Anti-terminator
Protein, RfaH of Klebsiella pneumonia
Project Description: Interested candidates are welcome to apply for SRF for a
comprehensive drug discovery project aimed to design and development of small-molecule
inhibitors of RfaH protein of Klebsiella pneumonia. The successful candidate will be
involved in the designing and development of small molecule inhibitors to potentially target
RfaH protein. The duties will include the design and synthesis of new analogs of existing
leads to develop biologically active compounds for testing in Klebsiella pneumonia and
animal models. Applicant with expertise in Molecular Biology/Cell
Biology/Microbiology/Structural Biology/Bioinformatics and good command in oral and
written communication skills in English will be given preference. For more details you may

Essential Qualification: M. Sc. in any stream of Biological Science with at least 55% marks
and Two Years of research experience. Preference will be given to NET/GATE qualifiers.
Candidates having experience in the area of Microbiology/Molecular Cell Biology/Structural
Biology/Bioinformatics will be given preference.
