Essential Qualification
Graduate degree in Microbiology/ Medical Laboratory
Technology from a recognized university with three
years experience from a recognized institution.
Or
Master’s degree in Microbiology/Medical Laboratory
Technology from a recognized institution
Desirable Qualification
and Experience
Hands-on experience in clinical microbiological
techniques as evidenced from work experience in
recognized teaching hospital/ medical research
institutions
Hands-on experience in molecular techniques viz.
nucleic acid extractions, PCR/ qPCR etc.
Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Remuneration
Rs. 31,000/- pm (Consolidated)
Age Limit 33 years (Including age relaxation)
Nature of Duty
1. Coordinating with other project staff to ensure
appropriate and timely sample collection, testing
and providing laboratory results within stipulated
time lines.
2. Perform clinical specimen (CSF, Blood and other sterile body fluids, NP Swabs etc.) processing for
point of care testing, bacteriological culture and
identification, AST, PCR etc. as may be applicable/
required for the project.
3. Appropriate storage and shipment of specimens to
designated laboratory.
4. Participating in EQAS and ensuring high quality of
the lab work in the project.
5. Assisting the Investigators in laboratory research
activities relating to the project.
6. Any other duty assigned by the Investigators /
Supervisory officers from time to time.
Duration 6 months (renewable for the project duration subject to
performance and project requirement)
