Applications are invited from the highly-motivated and research-oriented candidates on a
plain paper for the one post of Junior Research Fellow to work on the time-bound MHRD
RUSA 2.0 funded research project undertaken in the Department of Biotechnology, Mohanlal
Sukhadia University, Udaipur (Rajasthan) India with following details:
Name of the Project Evaluation of neuroprotective effect and its underlying molecular
mechanism by Costus speciosus, a traditional medicinal plant of
Udaipur district, Rajasthan.
Description:
Prime goal of the research project is to identify the neuroprotective effect
of a plant Costus speciosus, and identify the different molecules involved
in the pharmacological action. To achieve the goal, project aim to establish
the neuronal cell culture, induce cytotoxicity, analysis of differential
protein expression using molecular techniques like ELISA and Western
blot. The study involves intensive wet-lab work and therefore candidate
has to spent long hours to achieve the goal of this project.
Minimum
Qualification
Essential:
M.Sc. (Biotechnology) with at least 55% marks
Desirable:
Candidates having experience of handling mammalian cell culture,
preparation of media, hands-on experience of basic laboratory
instrumentation, basic knowledge of computers.

Tenure The position is temporary for a period upto 9 months and co-terminus
with the project.

2. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email.
3. Interview may be conducted via online or offline mode.
4. Applicant must show all the original certificates at the time of interview (for offline
mode) or at the time of joining (for online mode) for the purpose of verification, along
with one set of photocopies.
General information and terms and conditions
1. Appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice
or compensation on termination of the research project.
2. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in the funding
agency or in the Mohanlal Sukhadia University.
3. Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the
university and funding agency particularly applicable to the mentioned project.
4. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from the recognized
university/institute.
5. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
6. Selected candidate will have to join the duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
7. No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication of any sort will be entertained
on the matter.
8. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be
treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
9. Salary of the candidate will be provided if received from the funding agency. PI will
not be liable for any delay in salary of the appointee.
