Name of the post: Research Fellow
Number of positions: 1
Duration: 2 years (Provision of extension is available based on performance. Possibility of registering for PhD is available).
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/Life Sciences/Bio medical Science with 2 years of prior research laboratory experience.
Experience: Candidates with strong interest and basic knowledge in immunology is preferred. Prior laboratory experience in handling clinical samples, following aseptic procedures, flow cytometry analysis, ELISA and microscopy are MANDATORY. Previous experience with biomarker discovery, statistical data analysis (SPSS or MedCalc) with organizational skills is preferable.
The role: The post holder will be primarily responsible to perform immunological assays including multiplexed biomarker analysis, functional assays, clinical sample processing and their bio-banking, Flow Cytometry, custom ELISA, cell culture, molecular signaling experiments, data analysis including statistics and participate in all the laboratory activities.
Candidate will need to undertake common laboratory duties as responsibilities of this post.

Experience of working in a research team and contributing ideas for new research projects.
Salary: Salary will be INR 35000 consolidated per month for first 6 months. Upon confirmation based on satisfactory performance, further increments will be offered and projects decided for pursuing PhD thesis research.

Requirement for Research Fellow – Molecular Signalling (MS1)

The position is for a period of 2 years initially with the possibility for further extension and to register for PhD upon fulfilling the necessary requirements.

Requirement for Research Specialist – Gene Therapy (GT1)

Name of the post: Research Specialist – Gene Therapy
Duration: Initially for 2 years and can be extended. A minimum commitment of 2 years is necessary for these positions.
Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Tech in any branch of biology or biotechnology. Bachelors degree holders with more than 5 years of relevant laboratory experience may also be considered.
Experience required: Candidates with prior laboratory experience in one or more of the following techniques is mandatory:
Mammalian cell culture, transfection, aseptic techniques
Plasmid production, bacterial culture, quality control
Molecular biology techniques including cloning, PCR, QPCR, etc.
Biochemistry techniques including protein isolation, immunoblotting, tissue staining techniques and microscopy.
Chromatography techniques including IEX, affinity, experience with AKTA.
Previous experience with viral vectors, cloning mammalian genes, bioreactor culture, animal handling and animal tissue experiments is preferred.
The role: The post holders will be primarily responsible to perform different vector production related techniques including cell culture, vector transduction in vitro and in vivo (animal models), plasmid production, quality control, genotyping, clinical sample processing and their bio-banking and participate in all the laboratory activities. The post may require some travelling when required for experiments to be performed at core facilities.
