About the Course
Scientific writing is a
necessary skill that helps you grow within your career. This workshop is
intended to impart researchers and students with basic skills in writing and
publishing a scientific paper in a peer-reviewed journal. It will help the
participants to understand how to draft a scientific paper, become familiar to
construct an argument in a scientific manuscript, do effective literature
search and review, manage references using different software, understand
authorship, plagiarism and ethics in publication. In addition, the course will
provide participants with an understanding of the submission process and peer
review, selection of a journal and responding to reviewers’ comments.
