Project Title: Developing Nutritional Product from Musa balbisiana to Combat
Malnutrition, supported by DBT-BIRAC under BIRAC-BIG scheme
Essential Qualification: B.Sc/ B.Tech/ B. Pharm from reputed University/ Institutes.
Desirable knowledge: Tablet and capsule preparation, drug formulation, stability
studies and LC/MS knowledge are desirable. 1-2 years working experience in industry
or academia will be preferred.

Job description: This position is for development of a commercializable nutraceutical
product under the guidance of Dr Sanjay K Banerjee, Associate Professor (Project
Coordinator), NIPER-Guwahati. The candidate’s primary tasks will include conduction
of experiments in laboratory, accurately recording result/ information, interpreting the
data and reporting to the coordinator. As per necessity, the incumbent may be
occasionally assigned other works also, including field-work.
The candidate should be
capable of deductive reasoning and critical thinking in his/her tasks.
Duration of engagement: This engagement is for exclusively this project, and not for
NIPER-Guwahati. The project coordinator is the final authority regarding this
engagement. The engagement will be purely contractual and can not be extended
beyond the project duration of 24 months.
Salary: 25,000/- per month
Additional benefits: During the engagement, the incumbent will be able to experience
the process of product development, business incubation and will become familiar
with the innovation based start-up ecosystem.
