Recruitment of JRF in the CSIR Sponsored Research Project

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in CSIR sponsored research project (Sanction No.: 02(0451)/21/EMR-II) at School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. Details are given as follows.
Project title: Integrating in silico and in vitro approaches to design and develop novel peptides as potential inhibitors against human islet amyloid polypeptide fibrillation in type 2 diabetes
Duration (in Years) Three (03) years (The position is available immediately and initially offered for two-year term, subject to renewal based on performance and available funds)
Essential Qualifications M. Sc. Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics, M. Pharm Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Medicinal Chemistry with 55% marks from UGC recognized University/ Institute. The candidate should be Lecturership (NET) or GATE qualified.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 31,000/- per month* (*HRA as per CSIR norms)
Age: The upper age limit for JRF is 28 years as on the day on which the application is made. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Preference: The candidate having experience in molecular modeling, bioinformatics and computational techniques will be given preference.
