Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the ICMR Funded Project (No.5/4-5/Neuro/226/2020-NCD-I) in the School of Biosciences and Technology (SBST), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore – 632 014.
Title of the Project :“Designing and development of rational based peptide inhibitors against alpha-synuclein aggregates for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease”
Qualification :M.Tech / M.Sc. (Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or any related discipline in Life Sciences) with CSIR- NET/GATE qualification.
Desirable (if any) :Candidates having knowledge in Neurodegenerative disease, molecular modeling, molecular simulation, biochemical characterization, biochemical assay and experience in technical writing will be preferred.
Age Limit :28 years / Age relaxation is admissible as per ICMR guidelines
Salary :Rs. 31,000 pm + 8% HRA (Salary will be provided as per the university norms for Non-NET/GATE candidate)
Sponsoring Agency :ICMR, Government of India.
