POSITIONS OPEN FOR TEMPORARY RESEARCH PROJECT POST(S) (Date of interview – January 25, 2022, at 10:00 AM via video call) 

CSIR-Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB), desires to engage qualified incumbents on a purely temporary basis in various ongoing projects of the Institute as listed below: - 

HCP0023 “Sickle Cell Anemia Mission-Phase II” Dr. Souvik Maiti 

Senior Project Associate 

(i) Masters Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent and 

(ii) Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services OR 

Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a recognized University or equivalent 

Desirable: Experience in complete workflow of genome editing experiments and handling patient samples and Experience in Sanger sequencing and analysis

Senior Project Associate 

(i) Masters Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent and 

(ii) Four years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services OR 

Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a recognized University or equivalent 

Desirable: Experience and knowledge in science outreach and dissemination, web-design and basic programming skills

Masters Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent 

Desirable: Wet lab experience with mammalian cell culture, transfection, protein purification OR Experience with deepsequencing workflow and knowledge in programming and bioinformatics analysis of deep sequencing datasets

M.Sc. in Chemistry/Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology from a recognized University or equivalent OR MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Sciences or bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent 

Desirable: Experience in Molecular dynamics simulations, enhanced sampling techniques and trajectory analysis and QM/MM methods of proteins and DNA. OR Experience in portal development in PHP/Laravel/MySQL and a good understanding of MVC Framework

Project Associate-II 

M.Sc. in Chemistry/Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology from a recognized University or equivalent with minimum two years of research experience OR MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Sciences or bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with minimum two years of research experience
