Nitte Biosensors/Genetic Engineering JRF Openings

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the research project at the Nitte University 

Centre for Science Education and Research, Nitte (Deemed to be University), Deralakatte, Mangaluru. 

Title of the project Target-induced Core-shell satellite structures: Creating a polyvalent multifunctional platform for multiplexed detection of nucleic acids 

Funding agency DST-SERB, Govt of India 

Project Investigators Dr. Akshath U. S (PI) 

Fellowship Rs. 31,000/- per month + 16% HRA 

Eligibility Master's degree in Biomedical Science/Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Any branch of Life Science with at least 60% marks 

Essential qualification

Working experience with biosensors, immobilization/conjugation, synthesis of nanoparticles will be an added advantage 

Duration The project is for 2 years. Yearly extension is based on annual review of the performance. Title of the project Hierarchical self-assembly of homologous recombination repair foci: development of a physiologically relevant model system for molecular-resolution studies.

Fellowship Rs. 31,000/- per month + 16% HRA 

Eligibility Master's degree in Biomedical Science/Biotechnology/Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Any branch of Life Science with at least 60% marks Essential qualification

Hands on experience with recombinant protein purification using bacterial and mammalian expression hosts. 

Experience in protein-protein interaction studies will be an added advantage. 

Duration The project is for 2 years. Yearly extension is based on annual review of the performance.
