Eligible and interested candidates are invited for a walk-in-interview (virtual) to be held online, at
Nutrihub, ICAR – Indian Institute of Millets Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030, on
10/01/2022 from 10:00 A.M (virtually). onwards for recruitment of the following positions under
“CGMFP & ICAR-IIMR joint project on ‘Millet Promotion in Chhattisgarh’” Project as per the details
given below.
Name of the Project CGMFP & ICAR-IIMR joint project on “Millet Promotion in
Chhattisgarh”
Post category Senior Consultant-1 (one Position)
Emoluments (per month) Rs 1.00 Lakh/ month (Consolidated)
Project Till March 2022 (Likely to be extended up to 2023)
Qualification:
1. Master’s degree in: Agricultural sciences (Seed Technology/ Plant Breeding/ Agronomy/ Agrl.
Economics) Food Engineering/ Agrl. Processing Engineering/ or Equivalent Master Degree in
Agri-Business/ Agri-Marketing from Recognized Institute or allied fields.
2. Must be having relevant experience of 5-10 years. Exposure in FPOs Management with
experience in Millet’s value chain including Production, Processing, procurement, marketing in
Millets.
Age: 40 years or below
Note: Age can be relaxed in exceptional cases if candidates are good and fit for millets
processing and promotion through FPOs.
Roles & Responsibilities under
1. To create a Millet Production Manual for dissemination of the information on achieving profitable
millet (KODO, KUTKI, RAGI) productivity levels.
2. Coordinate for identification of seed varieties “cultivar” compatible with the soil structure and eco
system of the district in reference.
3. Coordinate for compilation of information on Good Agricultural Practices to be adopted for millet
production and cultivation.
4. Assist in sourcing of improved millet cultivar seeds through the Breeder Seed Production (BSP)
& Seed hub network being funded under Nutri-Cereals Sub Mission (NFSM).
5. Assist in sourcing of improved tools and equipment for improving productivity of the millet
production and cultivation.
6. Provide master training to the implementing agency KVK and District agriculture department,
nominated officials, who in turn will conduct training for the millet cultivators and farmers.
7. Coordinate for Conducting field workshops for farmers and trainers, to improve profitability of
Millet cultivation.
8. Coordinate for Collection and dissemination data on the estimated increase in acreage under Millet
cultivation and per acre increase in productivity for each millet in reference in the district.
9. The Senior Consultants shall visit the state of Chhattisgarh once in every month for progress
review and coordination of various activities.
10. Any other task assigned by coordinator/ co-coordinator, ICAR-IIMR

MBA/ PGDM/ M. Tech or Equivalent Master Degree in Agri-Business/ Agri-Marketing/ AgriEconomics/ Agricultural Extension from Recognized Institute or allied fields.
2. Must be having relevant experience of 5-10 years. Exposure in FPOs Management with
experience in Millet’s value chain including Production, Processing, and EDP in Millets and
machinery retrofitting is preferred.
Age: 40 years or below
Note: Age can be relaxed in exceptional cases if candidates are good and fit for millets
processing and promotion through FPOs.
Roles & Responsibilities under CGMFP
a. Responsible for implementation, coordination and monitoring of all the activities to be conducted
towards fulfillment of the MoU between IIMR and CGMFP Federation.
b. Responsible for the activity of preparing the DPR for the 10,000 MTPA millet processing plants.
c. Provide technical assistance to the CGMFP Federation on the procurement, storage, processing and
marketing of Millets.
d. Provide technical inputs and necessary assistance to Federation for the identified Technology transfer
of the Value-added Millet processing technology and products.
e. The Senior Consultant shall report to the designated Nutrihub TBISC/IIMR officials and coordinate
with the designated POC for the Federation.
f. The Senior Consultants shall visit the state of Chhattisgarh, at least once in every month, for progress
review, field inspection and coordination of various activities.
g. The appointment of Senior Consultant shall be for the period of One Year, extendable as per prior
mutual consent of CGMFP Federation and IIMR.
h. Any other task assigned by coordinator/ co-coordinator of ICAR-IIMR.

Qualification:
1. Master’s degree in: Agricultural sciences (Seed Technology/ Agronomy / Plant Breeding/
Agrl. Economics) Agrl. Extension, or Equivalent Master Degree in Agri-Business/ AgriMarketing from Recognized Institute or allied fields.
2. Must be having relevant experience of 2-5 years. Exposure to field production and
procurement, processing and machinery retrofitting in millets.
3. willing to work in District headquarters in Chhattisgarh with govt departments and liase with
various stakeholders
Age: 40 years or below
Note: Age can be relaxed in exceptional cases if candidates are good and fit for millets
processing and promotion.
Roles & Responsibilities under
1. Providing technical guidance to district authorities on Millets mission road map.
2. To liaison with Nutrihub and the District and State authorities for the activities
3. Coordination for all relevant activities with coordinator/ co-coordinator of ICAR- IIMR and
District Administration officials nominated by the District Collector, for carrying out the
activities of Millet mission in Chhattisgarh
4. Responsible for the activity of preparing the DPR for the 10,000 MTPA millet processing plants.
5. Coordinate with Senior Consultant for Conducting field workshops for farmers and trainers, to
improve profitability of Millet cultivation.
6. Coordinate with Senior consultant for Collection and dissemination data on the estimated
increase in acreage under Millet cultivation and per acre increase in productivity for each millet
in reference in the district.
7. Should be able to guide on the latest technologies, latest agricultural practices for enhancing
farmer’s income through increased productivity.

9. Any other task assigned by ICAR-IIMR
Terms & Conditions:
1. The above posts are purely temporary and on contractual basis till 31st March 2022 (likely to be
extended up to march 2022).
