Applications are invited from the interested Indian Nationals for a project based vacancy of Research Associate (01 No.) in the ICMR funded ad-hoc research project entitled “Evaluation of prebiotic and anti-obesity properties of galactan exopolysaccharide”. 

Essential  Qualification: MSc  and  PhD  in  Food  Science  and  Technology  /Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology. 

Desirable: Candidate with hand on experience in cell culture and animal experiments will be preferred. 

Age limit: 40 years (Relaxation of 2 years as per funding agency guidelines for women candidates).  

Fellowship: As per funding agency norms. 

Duration: Appointment will initially for one year from the date of appointment and may be extended further based on the progress as well as based on the tenure of the project. Position co terminates with the project tenure. 

Important Information:  

1. Last date for the receipt of application as e-mail to shetty.fst@pondiuni.edu.in (Soft copy only and no hard copy will be accepted). 

Last date for receipt of application is 8th January 2022 (latest by 5 pm.).  

2. Incomplete applications and applications received after last date will not be considered. 

3. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by e mail and no separate call letters will be sent.  

4. Interview will be scheduled within a week of last date for the receipt of applications and the selected candidate should be willing to join the project immediately. Following is the mandatory check list for the application: 

1. Application form introducing yourself with following details: 

a. Post applied for  

b. Contact information with e mail and mobile number 

c. Name and contact details of two referees, one should be the PhD supervisor 

d. A latest digital photograph 

2. Latest updated biodata 

3. One page self-assessment indicating how you are the most suitable candidate for the position and you can contribute the project (not more than 500 words). This is very important and is used in the assessment.

4.Copy of necessary educational and experience certificates  

5. PhD award certificate / thesis submission certificate 

6. List of SCI indexed publications in the relevant field with first page/ full paper of the publication as proof
