Applications are invited for one post of Research associate (RA) in SERB sponsored research proposal entitled “Functional characterization of TaMSL5-D of bread wheat” to be executed in the Department of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh with following terms and conditions: 

Duration: Maximum upto 3 years and co-terminus with the project. 

Emoluments: Rs 47,000 p.m.plus HRA as per guidelines. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

1. M.Sc degree in Botany/Biotechnology/Life sciences with at least 55 % marks. 
 2. Ph.D in Botany/Biotechnology with published research preferably on gene cloning and functional characterization in plants. 

Age limit: 40 and 45 years for male and female candidates respectively. 

Interested candidates to send their application by post, by hand or e-mail, along with complete biodata and attested copies of the necessary certificates indicating the date of birth, marks in qualifying examination, Masters and Ph.D award/ thesis submitted letter and research publications to the undersigned by 10th Feb 2022. 

Candidates will be shortlisted as per academic qualifications and research experience strictly relevant to the project. The shortlisted candidates will be informed by mail and notice board of the departmental website. The interview will be held on 21st Feb 2022 from 11.00 AM in the Office of the Chairperson, Department of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Report along with the original certificates.
