“SPSS is a
powerful tool which can perform highly complex data manipulations and analysis
with simple instructions”. It is the most popular statistical packages used by
academic and health researchers, market researchers and survey companies,
government entities, marketing organizations and data miners.
The course is
designed for individuals with no prior knowledge of SPSS.

Day :1
Types of data with biological examples,
Data coding and data management with SPSS, Basics of Hypothesis testing, Types
of hypotheses, two-tailed, one tailed tests, interpretations of a p-value.
Day: 2
Parametric tests – One sample t test,
independent sample t test, dependent sample t test, One way ANOVA.
Non-Parametric Tests: Chi-Square test of
independence, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis Test, Wilcox test, Sign Test
Day: 3
Correlation analysis – Person, Spearmen
and Kendall’s Tau “b”
Regression Analysis: Simple Linear and
Multiple Linear Regression.
