Recruitment of Research Fellows It is proposed to conduct an Interview on 25.03.2022 to recruit Junior Project Fellows on purely temporary (Contractual) basis for the research projects detailed below. Eligible candidates are requested to attend the interview at Institute of Forest Genetics & Tree Breeding, R.S.Puram, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. JUNIOR PROJECT FELLOW: 

1 Conservation and productivity improvement of Red Sanders AICRP -8 (Comp-6) 

PI: Dr. A.Karthikeyan Scientist-F 

Essential: First class in Post Graduate Degree in Microbiology/ botany 

Rs.20,000 3 years (or) till completi on of project 

2 BIOCURE; A medicinal plant prospective for potential viral inhibitors for severe SARS-CoV2 acute infection. (New NFRP -188 Project) 

PI: Dr.N. Senthil kumar, Scientist- F 

Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry/Botany/Forestry/ Agriculture.

3 Transcriptome analysis of salt excluding roots of Rhizophora mucronata (NFRP -184)

Essential: Masters in Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/Genomics/ Bioinformatics//Plant Science Or Integrated M.Sc. Life Science/Plant Science 

Desirable: Experience in tissue culture, Molecular Biology techniques/Transgenic approaches

Terms and conditions: 

1. Only Indian nationals are eligible. 
2. Age limit as on 25.03.2022: Junior Project Fellow - 28 years (Relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST, Women, Physically handicapped and OBC candidates). 
3. Candidates should submit their application online at the link provided in the website of this Institute. Online Registration process will be closed by dated on 18.03.2022 5.00 P.M. 
4. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project period or earlier depending on the performance of the candidates. 
5. Recruitment for the above temporary positions is governed by rules of the Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education and does not guarantee subsequent employment in any Institutes under the Council. 
6. The Candidates are advised to go through the detailed guideline before starting the online registration. 
7. The selected Candidates should bring all the original testimonials on educational qualifications and community certificate for verification at the time of joining. Candidates without Provisional Certificate / Degree Certificate awarded by the Universities need not attend the interview.
