NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the position of
“Junior Research Fellow (Project)” in DST-funded project entitled “Autism Spectrum Disorders,
Genes and the Gut Microbiome: Utilizing Song Bird (Zebra Finches) as a Model System”.
Candidate interested in human neuroimaging/neurophysiology, and fulfilling the following
requirements can submit duly filled in application as per attached format along with CV and self-attested

Essential Qualification Masters’ degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences /
MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or
Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with
minimum 60% marks.
Desirable experience Experience in animal handling, basic histological techniques
biochemistry and microbiology will be preferred. Candidate should
be highly motivated to work in an academic environment with other
students and PDFs.
Fellowship (i) ₹ 31,000/- plus HRA as per rules for those who have qualified
any of the national level examinations conducted by central
government departments and their agencies and institutions (CSIRUGC-NET, GATE, JGEEBILS, DBT / ICMR-JRF or similar).
(ii) ₹ 25,000/- plus HRA as per rules for those who do not fall under
(i) above. No other allowances are applicable.

Tenure The tenure will be for a period of one year extendable another year
on performance review. The post is co-terminus with the project.
Accommodation Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to
availability.

1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview
2. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be called for interview.
3. Candidate are required to attach copy of their self-attested certificates of qualification &
