Applications are invited for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow
(JRF) at ICAR-Directorate of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (DFMD), International Centre for
FMD (ICFMD), Bhubaneswar, under DST-SERB funded Core Research Grant (CRG) project
entitled “Generation and analyses of mRNA vaccine against foot-and-mouth disease
(FMD)”.
The position is purely temporary on contractual basis. The place of work is at
International Centre for FMD (ICAR-DFMD), Arugul, Jatni, Khordha– 752050, Odisha.
The interested candidates fulfilling the below mentioned qualifications are requested to

shortlisted candidates will be intimated for interview by return email for which all the

Minimum essential
qualifications
Post Graduate Degree in
Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Microbiology/Virology/Molecular Biology/Life
Sciences/Zoology OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course
(M.V.Sc./ M. Tech/M. Pharma. etc.) selected through a process described by
any one of the followings:
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests (NET)-CSIRUGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by
Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as
DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable Working experiences of molecular biology techniques, and/or cell culture
techniques.
Knowledge of computer applications (web-search, data
compilation), bioinformatics analyses, report writing, manuscript preparation
etc. and publications in journals of national and international repute.
Duration 3 Years.
Initial appointment will be for one year, extendable up to 3 years subject
to satisfactory performance of the JRF.
Emoluments Rs 31,000/- per month +HRA (as per norms) for the first 2 years
Rs 35,000/- per month +HRA (as per norms) for the 3rd year.
Age Limit 35 years for men and 40 years for women or as admissible as per the guidelines.
