Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the following research project funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India in the Department of Botany, SRM University Sikkim, Sikkim, India.
Project Details:
Title of the Project “Study on traditional ethnomedicinal practices for neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia by the indigenous tribal populations in Sikkim- An ethnopharmacological approach" Project File No. 5/7/1752/CH/Ad-hoc/2021=RBMCH.
Sponsored Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Post Duration: Two Years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
Principal Investigator: Dr. Biswajit Bose, Department of Botany, SRM University Sikkim, Sikkim, India.
Co-Principal Investigator: Dr. Anand Sharma, Department of Botany, SRM University Sikkim, Sikkim, India. Dr. S. Arunan, Department of Neurology, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Center.
Essential Qualification
1. M.Sc. with minimum 55% marks or equivalent according to grade point average in Botany/Biotechnology/Microbiology or any area related Life Sciences.
2. Qualify any of the national level eligibility tests for research like CSIR-UGC NET (LS), GATE, or any such exam conducted by Govt. of India agencies like ICMR, DBT, DST, ICAR, DRDO, MHRD, etc as per Govt. of India rules.
Fellowship Rs. 31,000.00/- per month for JRF+ HRA as per ICMR rules.
