Karyashala:
'KARYASHALA' is an effort to improve research productivity of promising PG and PhD students from universities and colleges through high-end workshops on specific themes. This program aims to provide opportunities to acquire specialized research skills.
Objective of the Workshop:
This program being conducted during the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotasv initiative of Govt of India celebration year intends to provide awareness on scholarly communication in science for career growth. All aspects such as writing research papers; popular articles; ethical issues in scientific research; literature collection; selecting a right journal; basics of journal metrics; popular science communication and print production, and as a researcher enhancing academic visibility will be covered.
CSIR, NIScPR:
CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), with a legacy of more than 7 decades in Sciene communication, is a premier science publishing institute in India. It publishes 19 research journals and three Popular Science Magzines, apart from CSIR-News, CSIR-Samachar (Hindi), Discussion paper series and Policy bulletins. etc. The CSIR-NIScPR also conducts academic courses leading to PhD & MSc in S&T communication through AcSIR.
