Applications are invited by postage/by hand for One post of JRF under the Indo-UK International Joint Collaborative research project' entitled "SELECTAR: Selection for antimicrobial resistance by antimicrobial production waste" sanctioned for 3 years (16.12.2020 to 15.12.2023) to the undersigned. The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The appointment will be governed by rules of the University.
The appointment will be made for one year and is extendable till the tenure of the project, subject to availability of funds or extendable if the projectis extended.
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or allied sciences with at least 60% marks for GN/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized University/ Institute.
The applicant should have cleared National Eligibility Test qualification such as UGC-CSIR-NET/ GATE/ DBT-BET or an equivalent test recognized by DBT/DST, India.
Desirable: Prior laboratory experience in microbiological techniques, molecular biology and analytical techniques.
Emoluments: Rs.31,000/- per month+ 16%HRA for 1st &2nd year and Rs.35,000 pm +16% HRA for the 3rd year.
Job Requirement: To do the experimental work related to the project, compile all results, maintain the Laboratory notebook and all the scientific records pertaining to the project. The incumbent is expected to work on Saturdays/Sundays and maybe on holidays also for any project exigency
Age Limit: 35 years on or before December, 2022 (age relaxation for Sc/ST/OBC and women candidates as per Govt. of India/ DST instructions).
The selection committee reserves the right to downgrade the post to Project Associate-l (M.Sc. without National Eligibility Test qualification) with emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA, in case No candidate is found suitable for the post of JRF during the interview.
