Post-Doctoral FELLOW (PDF) POSITION AVAILABLE


No of Postdoctoral Fellows required: 01 (one)

 

Date of Joining: Immediately after the selection

 

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the post of Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) to work on CDC-USA and WHO-funded projects.

 

Title of the Project:“Research and Development of Measles and Rubella Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) Kits." fromthe CDC-USA and WHO.

 

Principal investigator/Supervisor: Dr. Yuba Raj Pokharel, Cancer Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, South Asian University Delhi India).

 

Essential qualifications

  • Academic degree (Ph.D. or soon-to-be Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline.

  • Solid hands-on experience in biomedical engineering and/or virus diagnostic tools development, particularly lateral flow immunoassay for the research and development of the rapid diagnostic kit.

  • Peer-reviewed publications including diagnostic and surveillance technologies of diseases.

  • Good communication skills in English and strong interpersonal/networking skills.

Essential qualifications

  • Experience in Diagnostic devices for viral detection.

  • Experienced with RDT kits, fabrication, and micro fluidity techniques

  • Experienced with Electrochemical device development for diagnostic purposes.

  • Experience in CRISPR/Cas and LAMP mediated diagnostic test kits research and development.

  • Academic degree (Ph.D. or soon-to-be Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline.

  • Solid hands-on experience in protein chemistry and/or protein analysis technologies, particularly recombinant protein production and analysis (Äkta, SEC-MALS, calorimetry, etc.).

  • Peer-reviewed publications including protein chemistry and/or protein analysis technologies.

  • Good communication skills in English and strong interpersonal/networking skills.

  • Experience in Rapid Diagnostic Kits Research and Development

 

Salary

  • The salary will be given as per the ICMR/CDC/WHO guidelines 80,000 INR per month including for 2 years possibility of extension

Important Note:

The above-mentioned post is temporary and will be initially offered for a period of one year, which can be extended up to two years.
