About
the Topic
Prediction of three
dimensional structure of Protein is consider as most essential step in bioscience research such as in drug discovery
and designing process. Due to cost effectiveness and speed, the in-silicobasedmethod
for protein structure prediction is in main focus from last decades. The participants will be introduced to
various computational/theoretical methods to predict the three dimensional
structure of protein from its amino acid sequence along with exploration on the
recent advancement. The hands-on-session will be on comparative protein
structure modelling using Modelleralong with other online resources to
predict 3D structure of protein from its amino acid sequence.
Molecular
docking is one of the advanced computer based
simulation techniques used to study receptor-ligand interaction at the
atomistic level. It is widely adopted by life research professionals to
understand mechanism of biochemical reaction, protein-protein interaction, to
discover and design new drug molecules for life threatening diseases. Due to
its speed and high level of accuracy it became a tool for pharmaceutical
industry.
This training will be useful for
students, research fellow, faculties from life Science and pharmaceutical
science background.
