The objective of this project is to assess the Health-Related Quality of Life [HRQoL, emotional impact,
pain impact, social functioning impact] and to measure the impact of economic burden and above factors on health care utilization. In addition, tribal communities are to be mobilized to improve the health seeking behavior and to accept the screening and management of the sickle cell disease.

Qualification: 1st class Master’s Degree in (Anthropology/Social work/Psychology/Human Genetics / Biotechnology) from a recognized university with 4 years’ experience OR 2nd class Master’s Degree + PhD degree (Anthropology/Psychology/ Psychology/ Human Genetics/Biotechnology) from a recognized university with 4 years’ experience
Desirable: Experience in
(i) health systems research on sickle cell/ haemoglobinopathies in tribal areas
(ii) handling big data sets with working experience in SPSS
(iii) experience of handling qualitative data
(iv) scientific writing with evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Age Limit : Below 40 yrs
Research Assistant 02

Qualification: Post-Graduate in (Anthropology/Psychology/Social work/ Human Genetics) from a recognized university
Desirable: Three years’ work experience from a recognized institution in
(i) haemoglobinopathies related research in tribal areas
(ii) working experience in SPSS
(iii) experience of qualitative research
Age limit: Below 30 years
Job Description:
Field based work- Sickle Cell Disease in the tribal areas of Araku Valley, Alluri Seetharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. All the staff should stay in the tribal villages for the data collection, sensitization and community mobilization activities.
Working with and collection of data from the Primary Health Centers and health sub-centers in the tribal areas, and conducting sensitization in these health facilities & community.
Terms & Conditions for the post are as follows:
1. Since the post(s) is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR or in Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh for the continuation of his/her services in any other project.
2. Benefits of provident fund, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. are not applicable.
3. No TA/DA etc. will be paid for attending the Interview.
4. Qualification and experience should be from a recognized organization.
5. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
6. Persons already in regular scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible to apply.
