field of Ocular Immunology.

Duration: 2 years (Provision of extension and career building at the institute is available based on performance).
Qualifications: PhD in Biological Sciences/Life Sciences/Bio-medical Science
Experience:
·
Candidates with
strong interest and knowledge in immunology is MANDATORY.
·
Flow cytometry
(immunophenotyping) experience is MANDATORY.
·
Prior
laboratory experience in handling clinical samples, following aseptic
procedures, flow cytometry analysis, ELISA and microscopy are necessary.
· Previous experience with biomarker discovery, statistical data analysis (SPSS or MedCalc) with organizational skills is preferable.
Other selection criteria:

A team player
with excellent communication skills, including the ability to write scientific
text and present data.

Experience of
working in a research team and contributing ideas for new research projects and
clinical translation

The role: The post holder will be primarily responsible to:
·
Lead research
projects in ocular immunology
·
Guide graduate
students
·
Develop and
perform immunological assays including immunophenotyping, multiplexed biomarker
analysis and functional assays, molecular signalling experiments, in-vivo studies.
·
Data analysis
including statistics, report and grant writing
·
Communicate the
findings in scientific /clinical meetings and articles in peer-reviewed
journals.
· Candidate will need to undertake common laboratory duties that includes biobanking as responsibilities of this post.
