Advertisement for the post of Research Associate-I in an ICMR funded neuroscience project
Project Title: Unravelling human adult hippocampal neurogenesis using immunohistochemical and transcriptomic methods: An observational study.
Subject: Recruitment for the position of Research Associate-I (RA-I)
Number of posts: One
Stipend: INR 47000 + House Rent Allowance @18% per month.
Nature of duty: Full-time laboratory work, data analysis, and reporting.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Neuroscience/Anatomy/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology or M.Sc (Neuroscience/Anatomy/Life Sciences/Biotechnology) with three years of research experience in relevant domain.
2. At least one research paper published in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. (preferably in Neuroscience/Basic medical science).
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Routine and special staining, Microscopy, Immunohistochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Immuno-EM, Transcriptomics
Age limit: 40 Years (Relaxed upper age limit by two years in case of women candidates)

Note: The cut-off date for the age limit for RA-I will be as on the last date of submission of the application
Tenure: Initially for 12 months that may be extended to the total duration of the project (36 months)

Mode of Interview: Hybrid (Physical presence and online). An online link will be sent one day before the interview date for those appearing for an online interview.

4. This post is contractual for the duration offered (3 YEARS). The yearly renewal of the post (for a maximum of three years) will be required, which may be subject to the candidate’s performance and funding availability.
5. The appointment will be made based on the result of the interview.
6. The selected candidates will not have any right to claim regular positions.
