About Common University Entrance Test (CUET (PG) - 2023)
Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is being introduced for admission into UG/ PG programmes in Central
and participating Universities for academic session 2023-24. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will
provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from NorthEast and from rural and other remote areas and help to establish better connect with the Universities. A single
Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various
Central Universities.
The CUET (PG) - 2023 will be conducted in CBT mode in 02 shifts for admissions in the next academic session.
EXAMINATION SCHEME
2.1. MODE OF EXAMINATION
CUET (PG) 2023 will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode only.
2.2. MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPERS
CUET (PG) 2023 will be conducted in English and Hindi (Bilingual) except for language and Sahitya papers
(check details from Bunching List available in the Information Bulletin).
Please note that for the correctness of the questions in all the question papers except languages, the English
version will be taken as final except in language (domain) and Sahitya papers (domain).

Note
a. Candidate can choose maximum of 20 test paper codes in all.
b. Each question paper will have 100 MCQ Questions.
c. Candidate has to choose language English or Hindi at the time of registration for the Part A. (Choose
Carefully).
d. In case of Shiksha Shastri and Shiksha Acharya the entire 100 questions of the question paper would
be in Sanskrit language only.
e. Part B of the Question Paper will be in Sanskrit only for Acharya courses except Hindu Studies
(English and Hindi) and Baudha Darshan/Buddhist Studies in English, Hindi and Sanskrit.
f. In case of language papers Part B of the Question Paper will be in the specified language.
2.4. MARKING SCHEME
i) Each question carries 04 (four) marks.
ii) For each correct response, candidate will get 04 (four) marks.
iii) For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.
iv) Un-answered/un-attempted response will be given no marks.
v) To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option.
vi) However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or
change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Final Answer Key
will be awarded marks.
vii) In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates
irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.
*Examination will be conducted on multiple days in two shifts per day schedule and datesheet will be
available on the website. Keep viewing it for updates.
Very Important:
Applicants to check course, it's eligibility and QP code carefully from the main bunching list, as similar courses
are being evaluated under various question paper codes by different universities. e.g. Hindu Studies.
Applicants are solely responsible for choosing the correct question paper code.
