Applications are invited for the Position of Junior Research Fellow 

A research Fellow position is available to work on a research project at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi.

 The project is funded by the Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India) under the “MK BHAN YOUNG RESEARCHER Fellowship” 

1. Junior Research Fellow: 

To carry out functional and structural characterization of Plasmodium falciparum proteins 

Essential Qualification of Applicants: 

• Master’s degree in any area of Life sciences/Biotechnology 

• Able to handle bacterial culture, molecular cloning in bacteria 

• Knowledge of protein expression and purification in bacterial system 

Desirable Qualification of Applicants: 

• Understanding of Plasmodial culture 

• Candidate with a NET or GATE qualification 

Emoluments: as per DBT guidelines 

Tenure: Up to March 2025. 

Personnel hired will be initially appointed for 1 year, if found suitable his/her appointment will be extended till the end of the project.

VACANCY NOTICE – Research Associate (RA1) position 

One Research Associate positions is available in the ICGEB-Emory Vaccine Centre Lab, Molecular Medicine Group, ICGEB, New Delhi for dedicated work on Neonatal Sepsis.

Initially, the position is available for the 3 months probation and based on the performance of the position can be further extended.

Educational Qualifications: For RAI: PhD, thesis submitted with up to one year of experience. Desirable qualification: PhD in the field of Immunology.

Expertise / hands on experience in handling human samples, cellular immunology, innate immune responses & flow cytometry.

Candidates with only molecular biology or bioinformatics experience need not apply.
