Applications are invited for the temporary post of Project Associate or Research Fellow, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras. 

Co-ordinator: Prof. Ashis Kumar Sen, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras. 

Duration: Initially for six months, later extendable based on performance. 

Job Description: 

• Main activity 

– Research related to cell biology and tissue engineering. Isolation and analysis of circulating tumour cells from blood. Preparation of 3D models of tumours in vitro 

- preparation, characterization, and biochemical analysis of spheroids/organoids on-chip. Evaluate effect of drugs/chemicals on tumour spheroids. 

• Miscellaneous activity: Regular Cell culture, Maintenance of Cell culture Lab, Support smooth running of the experimental Lab.

Qualification and Experience: 

• B-Tech/M-Tech/B.Sc/M.Sc.in Biotechnology / Biological Sciences or Allied disciplines. 

There are two major requirements: 

(1) The candidate should have good knowledge of Cell Biology/Biochemistry/Tissue Engineering. 

(2) The candidate should also have good experience with mammalian cell culture. 

Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- Per month
