Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (M.Sc./M.Tech. in
Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Zoology or equivalent) with two years of
relevant research experience;
OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected
through a process described through any one of the following with four years of relevant
research experience:
a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC
NET/Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) / GATE / GPAT.
b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by
Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as
DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Desirables: Prior research experience of working in a cell and molecular biology lab
with training in cell culture and basic cell biology techniques such as protein/RNA
extraction, NGS, PCR, Western blotting, cytometry, proteomics, metabolomics,
immunostaining and microscopy etc. is desirable, with publication. Advance knowledge
of using computers for data analysis and record keeping is required.
