Advertisement for the post of Senior Project Assistant and Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Project Assistant and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the Department of Biotechnology (GOI) funded research projects at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with project.

1. Senior Project Assistant (SPA) (No. of Positions: 01)
Project title Prophylactic health products from macroalgae and their digestion by human gut microbial communities.
Minimum Qualifications: M. Sc. in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university with at least 1 year of research experience in Academia or Industry
Desirable Qualifications:
Candidates having prior work experience in PCR, RT-PCR, transcriptomic, proteomics, and microbial fermentation.
Age Limit: Up to 35 years on closing date of advertisement
Fellowship Duration: Till the end of the project (31-05-2024)
Fellowship (RA): Consolidated 25000/-
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (No. of Positions: 01)
Project title Exploring prophylatic activities of diverse structural pectin oligosaccharides: a step towards nutrigenomics
Minimum Qualifications:
MSc in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university with NET / GATE qualified
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having prior work experience in PCR, RT-PCR, Transcriptomics,
Proteomics, HP-LC and gene cloning
Age Limit: Up to 28 years on closing date of advertisement
Fellowship Duration: The post is purely temporary for 6 months. Selected candidate will be promoted
to Senior Research Fellow for one year if candidate will complete 2 years of experience at the end of 6 months duration.
Fellowship (JRF):
INR 31,000 plus HRA as per sanctioned project.
IF promoted to SRF: 35,000 plus HRA as per sanctioned project
